PhoneArena – Â Just a few years ago, the idea of being able to video chat on a mobile device was something that was only seen in science fiction movies. But things have come a long way since then. This week Apple and Skype have made it possible for users to take advantage of video chat by using their iPhone or iPod touch which is so cool. This means that no matter where you are you will now be able to not only talk with your friends and relatives but also be able to see them as well. So all these futuristic notions that we once had have now started to become a reality.
The potential for video chat on the iPhone is immense. We can also get a glimpse of where our family or friends actually are as well as being able to see them. But obviously not everyone is going to be happy about the idea that others can see where they are because it means they won’t be able to lie about where they are. But having the ability to share some of your holiday moments with your friends back in work is something that will appeal to a lot of people. It will also be nice to be able to switch on video chat when we are far away from those we love and we just want to see their faces.
Those who have an iPod Touch or iPhone can now download the Skype video chat application. Make sure that you avail of this as soon as possible and that way you won’t miss out on any of the fun. Every time that we think we have the best that technology has to offer, new improvements appear such as fully functioning mobile video chat; we really are seeing constant improvements in technology. Is there really anything else they can do? Who knows, we may even see the day where 3D video chats are the norm and it will be as if we are in the same room as the person we are calling.
