Your games discs do not have an easy life. They are thrown around, stepped on, scraped across the floor. Have soda or coffee splashed on them. Ketchup dropped over them. From time to time they get tidied up into drawers along with lots of abrasive toys. But most of these discs have cost you quite a lot of cash, and many of them are vital for your gaming pleasure. You need to use them over and over again. Backup copies of your wii games would come in very handy if and when a disc gets damaged.
But can backups be made? Yes, and very simply. There are some very good products available online that will let you copy games discs, so that you can use one copy and keep the other in reserve. They usually include good tutorials which show you how to do everything from installation to copying to caring for your backups.
You simply download the software, put a rewritable disc (CD or DVD) in your D drive and burn copies of wii games to your heart’s content. It takes less than five minutes to make a copy. No problems with ‘unlock’ keys, either. And it works with both PC and Mac operating systems.
Copying your own discs for your own use is perfectly legal and there should be no copyright issues. If you want to make copies for any other purposes – which we do not recommend – check your legal position carefully first.
We strongly urge you to make backup copies of wii games well before they become damaged beyond use, just as you would backup all your computer files and programs on a routine basis.
It takes so little time and effort to burn copies of wii games before some accident or careless act spoils them and spoils your gaming enjoyment, too.
Think about the reward for such a small investment in time and effort.
