It’s obvious that more consumers are deciding to purchase Amazon Kindle over the brightly colored iPad. Even if Apple develops thousands of applications for their new tablet, Kindle still remains to be on top of the list when it comes to being the best ebook readers.

Studies have been done recently showing that the majority of consumers still prefer the Amazon Kindle over Apple iPad. However, a lot of people have also quoted that undeniably the iPad is ‘more appealing’ because of its multi-tasking capabilities. The reliability of the study is certain.  It was conducted by the One News Page and involved questions regarding the best ebook readers available in the market these days to a total of 1000 US and UK respondents.

This is indeed the beginning of the ebook generation. Amazon Kindle has positioned itself as an ebook reader specialist. The new Kindle is lighter and cheaper than the iPad which explains why 60% of the respondents preferred it over the iPad as an e-reader. Apple iPad’s platform is definitely giving Amazon a run for their money, and there are plenty of features to play for as the iPad has just been recently launched.

The new Kindle may look similar, but it’s features far surpass it’s predecessor.  Its 6-inch screen features a faster refresh rate and great contrast ratio. The [new model~new and improved Kindle ebook reader] is also very light and has a rubberized back which makes it very comfortable as it rests in your hand.

Amazon announced that Kindle is the best selling gadget on their site. In order to expand the availability of the new Kindle, the company also agreed to sell the model to more than a thousand stores in North America.

I would rate Kindle the best bang for your buck, when it comes to buying an ebook reader.
